Charmaine E. Grant joined Thompson & Colegate in 2014. Her current areas of practice include medical malpractice, elder abuse, personal injury, and general insurance defense on behalf of physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and other healthcare providers.
Charmaine graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Law & Society. Thereafter, she attended law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego. Charmaine began her legal experience in criminal law as a certified legal intern with the San Diego Public Defender, Juvenile Division, followed by a temporary internship and opportunity in civil litigation with her then future employer, Thompson & Colegate that ended in the spring of 2003.
In June 2003, Charmaine joined a civil defense firm in Ontario, California that primarily specialized in medical malpractice defense and insurance defense of healthcare providers. Charmaine would remain with that firm for nearly eleven years until her return to Riverside and Thompson & Colegate in March 2014.
Charmaine is currently a member of the Riverside County Bar Association as well as the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association, on which she served as a member of its Board of Directors in 2003, 2004. Charmaine is conversational in Tagalog (Filipino) and Spanish.
